Position Overview:
As an Intern specializing in lead generation and market mapping, you will play a vital role in identifying potential clients and key decision-makers within target industries. Your primary responsibilities will include researching and mapping companies, identifying key stakeholders, and mining contact details to facilitate outreach efforts. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in market analysis, lead generation, and database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify companies within target industries that are actively hiring or may have a need for our products/services.
- Map key decision-makers and influencers within these companies, including C-level executives, department heads, and procurement managers.
- Utilize online resources, databases, and professional networking platforms to gather contact information (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers) of key stakeholders.
- Verify and update contact details to ensure accuracy and completeness of the database.
- Segment companies by industries and other relevant criteria to facilitate targeted outreach and marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop personalized outreach strategies and campaigns based on mapped companies and key decision-makers.
- Assist in creating outreach materials, including email templates, call scripts, and LinkedIn messages, tailored to different target segments.
- Track and report on the progress of lead generation activities, including the number of leads generated, outreach attempts made, and responses received.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive insights to inform lead generation strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
- Proficiency in using online research tools, databases, and professional networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to gather company and contact information.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and database management tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders professionally and build rapport.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Duration and Compensation: This is a full-time internship position for a duration of 6 months with the potential for permanent placement based upon performance. The internship may be eligible for academic credit, subject to your institution’s guidelines. Compensation will include a stipend, to be discussed during the interview process.
